nailing waves is a self referential concept

piece.  when a nail is pounded into the wood

a sound wave is created.  this sound wave is

sent throughout the room in all directions, with

a specific shape.  from a certain perspective, that

sound wave is the same shape as the sculpted beam

of wood.  so, you are nailing into the wave that you are creating.

the three paintings are pieces that are obviously emotional.  for me, each of them is about repression, loneliness, angry desperation and spent fear.

i am, however,

generally a happy person.

thanks for attending the show.
