nailing waves is a self referential concept piece. when a nail is pounded into the wood a sound wave is created. this sound wave is sent throughout the room in all directions, with a specific shape. from a certain perspective, that sound wave is the same shape as the sculpted beam of wood. so, you are nailing into the wave that you are creating. |
the three paintings are pieces that are obviously emotional. for me, each of them is about repression, loneliness, angry desperation and spent fear. i am, however, generally a happy person. thanks for attending the show. |
