-Thoughts on items-

As I go through the world these days, I am continually amazed by the nature of beauty, and the subjectivity involved with the judgment of beauty. (Or for the word, "beauty," substitute the words, 'meaningful,' or 'valuable,' if you like.)

Anything can be considered beautiful if it is judged from a perspective that finds it as such.

Therefore, with the right frame of mind, all things can be considered beautiful.

These items are my attempt to showcase some things that caught my eye, and reminded me as I passed through the day to remember to try to think about the world in this way. I like thinking about the world in this way because I like thinking that everything that exists is beautiful. Also, this creates a new way of thinking of the hierarchy of things because it destroys that hierarchy. All things are equally beautiful, or at least, that's how I like to think of the world. Anything that I would choose to be more beautiful than something else would simply be wrong from a different perspective. Hence, no hierarchy.

Several of the items are things that I find visually or conceptually interesting. Such items jolt me into remembering to think of my seemingly common every day experiences as wonderfully unique and beautiful moments, all of them, equally.
