As we notice these horses they become catalysts for further awareness of our rich surroundings.

To participate:
For this public art project, utilize the metal rings that are located on various sidewalks around Portland, Oregon.
(The rings have been embedded in the concrete curbs since they were actually used to secure horses and
carriages.) First, acquire a toy horse and locate a ring. Second, simply tie your horse. Third, leave the horse
there just as one would have left their actual horse a hundred years ago. Yours is a gift to the city. (Note: The
Dollar Store has great horses for this project.)

For me, the essence of this project is in the moments when people notice the horses as they exist in the city.
But if you want, take a photo and email it to me, and yours will be displayed in the collection too.
