Assignment #23

These four images below are my replicas of the photo.  They were taken on the Santa Monica Pier on December 29, 2005 at about 10 pm.  It was a cool night by Los Angeles standards, but my wife and I felt quite warm. 

These photos are a replication of your photo because I believe that many people turn there heads to the nuclear bombs that the USA dropped on Japan in WWII.  This photo was found in a showcase on the end of the Santa Monica Pier, a popular place for tourists in L.A.  Even though this picture is on display there, most of the people pass it by without giving it a second thought.  This is how I interpret the gesture of the girl on your photo.  The other three photos were near this one, and so they are the images that people see when they turn their heads away from the photo of the atom bomb.
