For Assignment #23, please include this writing as well:

These four images are my replicas of your photo.  They were taken on the Santa Monica Pier on December 29, 2005 at about 10 pm.  It was a cool night by Los Angeles standards, but my wife and I felt quite warm.

The reason these photos are considered replications of your photo is because I believe that many people turned there heads to the nuclear bombs that the USA dropped on Japan in WWII.  At the same time, this photo was found in a showcase on the end of the Santa Monica Pier, a popular place for tourists in L.A.  Even though this picture is on display there, most people pass it by without giving it a second thought.  This is how I interpret the gesture of the girl on your photo.  The other three photos were near this one, and so they are the images that people see when they turn their heads away from the photo of the atom bomb.

Thanks,
Scott Wayne Indiana

Thanks for participating in our project.  Unfortunately your submission
does not follow the instructions given.  We are looking for a new
photograph, taken to replicate the photo we have provided as much as
possible.  We are looking for a purely physical likeness, not to read
as anything more.
