i have known brad smith since the 7th grade. at that time, he was hands down the craziest person i had ever been around. after hundreds of baseball games together through high school culminating in the state championship in 1992, brad played college ball in oregon and texas. since then, he has remained the most avid sports fan i know, but he is sickened by the state of sports. like brad, i wish that athletes could approach the game the same way we did when we played whiffle ball in brad's backyard, or mini-hoop at sandhu's, where i usually dominated derrick. lastly, brad and i both agree that flicker should be in the NBA, greenwell (#39) should be in the hall of fame or at the very least MVP for the 1988 season because of canseco's admitted steroid use, and lastly that kirk gibson's home run in the 88 series was the best moment in sports history. (well, in our history of years between, say, 1981 and now.) thanks brad.

p.s. if it wasn't for brad smith, i simply would not be the person i am today. there are too many memories and stories to compile here, and none would do justice to the actual events as they took place.

thanks man.
