i beat ryan 5 to 3. as crazy ryan is known to do, as he is famous for, he scratched on the 8 twice. but then again, i did once. he and i both knew that if we kept playing, i would keep winning. so, i let him off the hook at 5 to 3.

this was the epic day/night of pool that we have been talking about for some time. rich was missed, and we'll definitely do a repeat of this overdose of this silly game sometime soon. as you can see, ryan killed. i felt like i was getting No Breaks, but at the same time Ryan made his shots and avoiding what i believe to be his greatest downfall, he also scratched only a handful of times in all 27 games. so, yeah. my take on this day is that it was a good memorable time, even though i got my ass handed to me. as you can see in ryan's take, he even tried to drink about five times as much as me because he felt bad and thought it would help, but i could not be helped on this day. aside from my failure with the cue, it was a fun time.

after ryan's show at doug fir, we headed over for a few games of pool. after losing the first game to rich, i decided that was it for me on the pool table for the night. just not feeling my game right now. maybe it'll come back to me someday. i hope so.

after losing three games of chess to rich, we wandered to rialtos and started in with the pool. he took me in the frst two, and my ego was completely shot. self esteem in the toilet. then rich says, 'scott, you lost your mojo.' realizing that he was right, i won the next 5 straight. which felt good. then he won the last 3, which made me think he probably let me win the 5 straight, and we ended up with the draw.

then i left and rich ended up beating ryan 6 to 2. i again performed poorly, and am not exactly sure how their games went.

the tally has been on hiatus for awhile, as you can see. we have played a few times since the last date, and i have failed to add the details here. (though one time i took rich 7 to 1. should be noted, of course.) our rivalry is alive and well...and more info will be documented in the future. - swi

we have not played much in the last year, however, i did play ryan a few weeks ago at the crow bar on mississippi and dominated him 9 to 4. this came after a few times of him beating me (and i think rich too) and feeling a little big for his britches, so i had to knock him down a few rungs on the ladder. he took his medicine well though, and didn't seem too beat up about it. rich is on deck to have a kid with his lady, so it looks like he's a poker man from here on out. we'll see. but i take all comers. any time, anywhere, under any conditions. bring the noise.

a side not is that i also dominated derrick a week ago at the backstage off hawthorne. it's a rare occurrence to dominate derrick at pool, so it's worthy of mention. and, he and i have a history of pool playing that goes back past that of rich, ryan and i. so, again, i'm up for re-matches with anyone, at any time.
